MEGASPREAD SHAVINGS

MEGASpread Woodshavings are a highly dust extracted equine bedding that consist of LARGE SOFT FLAKES.  It is made from virgin softwood logs (Spruce) using sustainable, untreated sources.

MEGASpread Woodshavings have an exceptional spread volume due to the baling process. The shavings are vacuum packed under extreme compression, so when the bale is opened, the shavings spring back to give the bale its worthy name of MEGASpread. Not only do the large flakes benefit the spread volume, MEGASpread has large flakes for maximum stability, enabling the bed to stay supportive and in place, minimising the risk of hock and joint injuries in the stable.

The large, soft flakes take longer to break down underfoot, while the smaller flakes make their way to the bottom of the bed, creating maximum absorbency. This maintains a dryer top layer for greater comfort for your horse’s hooves, and protection for the lungs against ammonia.

MEGASpread bales are highly dust-extracted and dried at sterilising temperatures to reduce bacteria and fungi, ensuring the health of your horse’s respiratory system.

Horses that are exposed to dust and mold spores often develop inflammation in their respiratory tracts.

This inflammation can lead to infection and less efficient lung function.
